How to: Install Ruby on Rails using RVM

As I mentioned there if you need Ruby for something other than running a plugin agent like in a development web server RVM is the way to go. Below are the quick instructions on how to deploy Ruby using RVM:
sudo apt-get install curl
curl -L get.rvm.io | bash -s stable
source ~/.rvm/scripts/rvm
rvm requirements
rvm install 2.1.0
rvm use 2.1.0
rvm —default use 2.1.0
gem install rails -v 4.0.2
